What’s new, Campers! We are nearing the sunset here at Camp One Clap on One Clap Speech and Debate, but it is another beautiful day at camp! We’ve arrived at Day 28 of camp, and today we have the chance to enjoy a Counselor Campfire Chat with NSDA Student of the Year Finalist and all-around Speech superstar Dani Schulz! 👏🏕️🔥
Camp Counselor Bio: Dani Schulz finished the season #1 in the nation in overall points for the NSDA. She was an Academic All-American and a four-year qualifier for Cheyenne East High School. In 2023, Dani was WY State Champ in both Dramatic and Program Oral Interpretation as well as a WY Student Ambassador. In her four years, she has competed in national-level octa, quarter, semi, and final rounds. This year she was named a finalist for NSDA Student of the Year. She has competed in dramatic interpretation, program oral interpretation, poetry, prose, humor interpretation, duo interpretation, duet acting, informative speaking and original oratory. Although she has competed in many speech events, she considers her favorite event drama. Next year she will continue competing at the collegiate level for the Casper College T-Birds and will be studying Secondary Education.
Thanks so much to the fabulous and always kind Dani Schulz for joining us here at Camp One Clap for a Counselor Campfire Chat, and good luck to Dani at Casper College this year! It is always a pleasure to speak with Dani, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for such a talented competitor.
What’s new at Camp tomorrow? Camp One Clap Quiz Clash with Counselor Londe Gagnon will be back for the final round. Maile Williams from Riverton, having defeated Jackson Hole alum, Josh Hansen, moves to the final round against the new challenger, Hot Springs County High School alum, Debate Coach, and UW Debater, Jean-Luc Willson! Also, Counselor Adrian Graham will drop another smokin’ hot episode of Professor Graham and Kevin’s ABCs of Debate.

Art fun! Create images, self-portraits, symbols, a quick video, a drawing, a photo edit, or anything visible that symbolizes your upcoming Speech and Debate year as a coach or competitor. Use AI or do it yourself!
I'll be posting my answers on the One Clap Speech and Debate TikTok channel! Be sure to tag our social media accounts or use the hashtag #CampOneClap23 when you post. I’m shifting the reward structure a bit for challenges to include One Clap prizes for more people! If you interact with a monthly challenge 10 times you can receive a holographic Camp One Clap sticker.
