-----Description of Podcast-----

As Biden pushes for democratic support within his domestic agenda, the U.S. President is failing to gain any ground. President Biden walked out empty handed on a climate deal prior to a trip to Europe, which lends a question as to whether the U.S. will be successful in pursuing climate policy. In this episode, YuYu Yuan and Spencer Travis are joined with Joshua Mitchell on the effects of Biden’s Climate Plan.

-----About The Half Hour-----

The Half Hour is a current events podcast designed with the intention of helping Extemp competitors (and other Speech and Debate members, as well as listening for the general public) understand the importance of political, social, or economical events on a domestic and international scale. As Extemp competitors only have half an hour to prep a speech, the podcast is designed to brief competitors in the same amount of time it would take for them to prep. Each episode looks at both sides of current events while providing background information to help expand upon the issue. The Half Hour also looks into common questions that people may be asked relating to current events and will work to answer them based on credible news sources from both sides.

Our One Clap and Wyoming Speech and Debate community mourns with the Kramer family and the many others who loved and appreciated Mack Kramer - a Rock Springs and University of Wyoming debater who was tragically taken away from us too soon. Mack was a kind, hard-working, hilarious, brilliant soul, and they will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Mack.
